We are excited to be heading back to Osheaga this weekend to host War Child’s Busking for Change stage for a third year. War Child’s intimate and acoustic Busking for Change stage at Osheaga has become a favourite destination for festival goers and we look forward to seeing you there.

Osheaga artists, including Hey Ocean, Wintersleep, Les Breastfeeders, The Jezabels, Memoryhouse, The Aggrolites, Karim Oullet, Koriass, Bilal Butt, and Aloe Blacc, will be hitting the War Child Busking for Change stage each day of the festival (Aug 3-5, 2012) to perform pared down acoustic sets in an intimate setting. So don’t be shy – drop by and drop some money into our buckets to help raise funds for the children we support in some of the most devastated regions of the world.

Be sure to visit www.warchild.ca/osheaga to check out the full artist schedule, and to sponsor your favourite participating artist by making an online donation. The schedule and list of artists will be updated regularly. Even if you can't attend, you can still donate and support our efforts!

So, how do you get involved in the fun? Head to Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau for Osheaga this weekend. Once on site, be sure to come by the War Child stage, catch celebrated artists as they busk for change and help us raise urgently needed funds for the children we support! Be sure to visit War Child's booth where we’ll be raffling off one-of-a-kind raffle items, including a guitar autographed by Metric and a 6 month subscription from rdio.  Our amazing events team will be on hand to answer your questions.

An exciting party dedicated to showcasing music and visual arts, OSHEAGA offers a world-class European-style event across its many outside venues. The outdoor events of the festival are staged in the breath-taking environs of Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène. Bringing together tens of thousands of music lovers from North America and Europe alike, the festival aims to showcase emerging local and national artists, as they share the stage with some of the industry’s biggest names. Thus, over several days, more than 90 bands will take the stage across the city, fostering an unparalleled festive ambiance. The full Osheaga 2012 line-up can be found here: www.osheaga.com

Special thanks to all of the participating artists, to Evenko, Sennheiser, rdio, and Via Rail for their generous support.
