It seems like we have been waiting a long time for this day but it has finally arrived. Dr Samantha Nutt's eagerly awaited first book, Damned Nations: Greed, Guns, Armies and Aid is finally available to buy in North America. It is available at all major retailers, or you can buy it here, with all proceeds from those sales going to War Child.
For a short introduction to the book, go to samanthanutt.com and keep checking back here for more updates, including an in-depth video interview by Alyson Rowe.
Here is a quick reminder of what to expect:
Damned Nations is the brilliant distillation of Dr. Nutt’s observations over the course of fifteen years providing hands-on care in some of the world’s most violent flashpoints, all the while building the world class non-profit, War Child. Combining original research with her personal story, it is a deeply thoughtful meditation on war as it is being waged around the world against millions of civilians — primarily women and children. Samantha’s boundless energy, dedication, and compassion shine through on every page as she lays out real, lasting solutions to these problems and shows how to move beyond outdated notions of charity towards a more progressive, inclusive, and respectful world view.
Remember- buy early and buy often!

It is very heartening to know that sports activities are being promoted to help children suffering from social stigma feel part of a team.
