Monday, May 6, 2013 – Toronto, ON - As Jackson-Triggs’ Charity of Choice, War Child is excited to announce that  Canada’s most awarded winery is offering the chance to win the Best Seats in the House for every concert this summer, as part of the Jackson-Triggs’ Amphitheatre 2013 Summer Concert Series.  The Jackson-Triggs’ summer concert series takes place at the beautiful Jackson-Triggs Winery estate, Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, in their open-air amphitheatre.   All proceeds will support War Child’s work with children whose lives have been devastated by war.

WAR CHILD LOUNGE TO FEATURE SPECIAL INTIMATE ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCES

Toronto, ON – War Child is thrilled to be chosen by Rifflandia Festival 2012 as their Charity of Choice once again this year.  Rifflandia Festival will donate $2.00 from every wristband sold to War Child, an internationally recognized charity that provides humanitarian assistance to war-affected children in some of the most devastated regions of the world. Rifflandia Festival will take place in Victoria, B.C. from September 13 – 16, 2012. 

Rifflandia Festival will also host the third annual Rifflandia War Child Lounge. As part of the festival a uniquely designated War Child Lounge will be set up in Victoria’s beautiful Atrium building (800 Yates Street, Victoria, B.C.) on Saturday, September 15th and Sunday, September 16th from 11:00am – 1:00pm, which will feature intimate acoustic performances by some of your favorite Rifflandia artists including Sloan, Rich Aucoin, Hey Ocean, Current Swell, Frazey Ford, plus other very special performances to be announced soon. All proceeds raised will support War Child Canada. The War Child Lounge will be hosted by The Zone @ 91-3’s Dylan Willows and Jason Lamb from The Morning Zone.

Monday, July 4, 2011 – Toronto, ON – War Child is thrilled to partner with Jackson Triggs Niagara Estate Winery for their third annual ROOTSTOCK, which will take place on Sunday, August 28th, 2011 at the Jackson Triggs Amphitheatre (2145 Regional Road 55, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON).  Rootstock 2011 will be hosted by CTV’s Canada AM co-host Seamus O’Regan, and will feature a special evening of music and storytelling – this year with an East Coast flare – with Alan Doyle (Great Big Sea), John Mann (Spirit of the West), Kim Stockwood and Matthew Barber.  This year’s concert will support War Child Canada, an award-winning charity that provides humanitarian assistance to war-affected children in some of the most devastated regions of the world. DAMIEN HIRST PAINTS GUITAR FOR WAR CHILD

Leading British artist Damien Hirst, whose bold works have set records in London’s auction houses, has painted a guitar using his celebrated ‘spin painting’ technique and donated the work to War Child.  The stunning guitar will be auctioned at Christie’s London (UK) showroom on 17th February 2011, as part of their Post-War & Contemporary Art Day, with all proceeds going to support War Child’s work.
