FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 29TH, 2013 BENEFIT – WAR CHILD AND JACKSON-TRIGGS PARTNER TO PRESENT AN “EXPLORE YOUR SENSES” WINE AND CULINARY

War Child is pleased to partner with Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate Winery for a very special benefit on Friday, November 29th, 2013. This festive evening will feature an intimate performance by multiple award winning artist Tom Cochrane, joined by special guest Kathleen Edwards, and culinary delights created by Celebrity Chefs Anna and Michael Olson and Jackson-Triggs Estate Chef Tim Mackiddie. Taking place in The Great Hall at the Jackson-Triggs Winery (2145 Regional Road 55, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON) the event will feature an “Explore Your Senses” wine and culinary experience with dinner stations throughout the winery. It will also include a short speech by Dr. Samantha Nutt, Founder of War Child Canada, as well as a live and silent auction.

WAR CHILD CHOSEN AS RIFFLANDIA FESTIVAL 2012 CHARITY OF CHOICE

WAR CHILD LOUNGE TO FEATURE SPECIAL INTIMATE ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCES

Toronto, ON – War Child is thrilled to be chosen by Rifflandia Festival 2012 as their Charity of Choice once again this year.  Rifflandia Festival will donate $2.00 from every wristband sold to War Child, an internationally recognized charity that provides humanitarian assistance to war-affected children in some of the most devastated regions of the world. Rifflandia Festival will take place in Victoria, B.C. from September 13 – 16, 2012. 

Rifflandia Festival will also host the third annual Rifflandia War Child Lounge. As part of the festival a uniquely designated War Child Lounge will be set up in Victoria’s beautiful Atrium building (800 Yates Street, Victoria, B.C.) on Saturday, September 15th and Sunday, September 16th from 11:00am – 1:00pm, which will feature intimate acoustic performances by some of your favorite Rifflandia artists including Sloan, Rich Aucoin, Hey Ocean, Current Swell, Frazey Ford, plus other very special performances to be announced soon. All proceeds raised will support War Child Canada. The War Child Lounge will be hosted by The Zone @ 91-3’s Dylan Willows and Jason Lamb from The Morning Zone.
