If the auction has ended and you have been notified that you are the winning bidder, please submit payment through Paypal or money order. If you are picking up the item locally, you can pay in cash.
Take note that your payment must include your bid amount in addition
to the shipping costs (listed at the bottom of the page).
Who pays for
shipping/customs? Can I find a better shipping option?
Shipping, duty and
customs are paid by the successful bidder. The shipping costs listed below are
the maximum flat rate for both Canada and the United States. If you are local to
Ontario or Toronto, please let us know and we can re-evaluate our shipping
price. However, the final method of shipping is at the sole discretion of War
Child Canada and will be based on Canada post rates and the location of the
address.
I live close by. Can I pick up the item?
Yes, of course!
Please contact us to arrange a pick-up time during business hours. We are
located in downtown Toronto.
Can I exchange this item?
No. The
items auctioned by War Child Canada are considered ‘AS IS’. There will be no
returns, exchanges or refunds.
Can I receive a chartable tax receipt for
my purchase?
In accordance with Canadian law, we can not issue charitable
tax receipts for this item. As you are purchasing this item, rather than making
a donation, you are not eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
Can I
insure this item? Who is responsible if the item is lost or arrives
damaged.
Items are shipped without insurance, unless by the request of
the bidder. Please note that the bidder must request this insurance. War Child
Canada is not responsible for any lost or damaged items due to shipping and
handling.
Are there any taxes on my purchase?
No. As this is a
charitable purchase, there are no relevant taxes on your purchase.
What
is the retail value of this item?
The retail value of this item is
priceless and cannot be accorded a monetary value.
How will I find out if
I win?
Ebay will contact you if you are the winning bidder. Their email
will explain how to finalize your payment.
What methods of payment do you
accept?
We accept Paypal, bank drafts and certified cheques that are
considered negotiable in Canada. Credit cards are only considered acceptable if
processed through Paypal.
Payment may only be made in cash if the winning
bidder is picking up the item locally.
When will I receive my
item?
Please submit your payment within four days of winning the auction.
Your item should arrive between one and two weeks from the date of your payment.
